COVID-19 Measures

Virtual services including phone and video counselling are now available at LingYu International Psychology Centre. In-person counselling is still available but with a limited capacity. For in-person visits, we are currently practicing a set of protocols to help ensure your safety and avoid the spread of COVID-19 infection.

The City is taking measures to protect staff and residents as facilities reopen and we thank everyone in advance for their cooperation. Visitors are asked not to attend a facility if they are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, have recently travelled internationally, or have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19.

At City facilities, visitors will be required to sign in for contact tracing purposes. Signage will be posted throughout facilities, including floor markers, to reinforce physical distancing and other health and safety guidelines. Plexiglas barriers have been installed at front counter service areas and hand sanitizer stations will be available at all entrances.

Face masks or coverings are also required in all enclosed public spaces. Exceptions include people who cannot wear a mask for medical reasons, children under the age of five or those who require accommodation in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code. Learn more at York.ca/MandatoryMasks.

Upon Arrival

You are expected to self-identify for any possible COVID-19 symptoms using the COVID-19 self-assessment tool before arrival. Also, kindly make sure you haven’t been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days.

At Arrival

All clients must have a temperature check at arrival. Hand sanitizers are provided at the front desk. A form must also be filled out and signed to claim not having any COVID-19 symptoms (e.g., a fever, new/worsening cough).

New clients must complete both an intake form and consent form prior to your first visit.

Also, we would like you to engage in several protective actions to avoid the potential spread of the virus.

Mask or face covering is mandatory for all clients and their accompanying persons for the entire clinic visit under the York Region policy.

Clients should keep 2-metre/6-feet social distancing and minimize contact with others.
