Xianya’s Bio
Have you ever felt caught between different expectations, identities, or paths in life? Xianya knows that feeling well. As a first-generation immigrant who has lived, studied, and worked across China, the United States, and Canada, she understands how complicated belonging, family, and finding your own place can be.
Xianya doesn’t believe therapy is about fixing what is “wrong” with you. She sees it as a space to understand yourself, make sense of your experiences, and move toward a life that feels authentic and meaningful. Rather than telling you what to do, she walks alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and respect, trusting that you are the expert on your own life.
She is especially drawn to working with people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves, helping them notice patterns that no longer serve them and reconnect with strengths they may have overlooked.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you are used to handling things on your own. You don’t need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Wherever you are, Xianya will meet you there with warmth and care.
