Have you ever felt caught between different expectations, identities, or life paths? Perhaps you are navigating cultural transitions, relationship challenges, anxiety, or major life changes while trying to stay connected to who you truly are.
I believe therapy is not about fixing what is “wrong” with you. Instead, it is a space to better understand yourself, make sense of your experiences, and move toward a life that feels authentic and meaningful. My role is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you with curiosity, compassion, and respect as you explore what matters most to you.
My approach is informed by Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Narrative Therapy. At the heart of my work is a strong belief that every person is the expert of their own life. Together, we can explore patterns that may no longer serve you, develop practical coping strategies, and reconnect with strengths that may have been overlooked.
As a first-generation immigrant who has lived, studied, and worked across China, the United States, and Canada, I understand the challenges of navigating multiple cultures, identities, and expectations. These experiences have shaped my appreciation for the complexity of belonging, family relationships, and personal growth, and they continue to inform my culturally responsive and inclusive approach to therapy.
My clinical experience includes hospital social work, community mental health, crisis support, and counselling settings. I have supported individuals experiencing anxiety, emotional distress, life transitions, health-related concerns, relationship challenges, and adjustment difficulties. I am particularly passionate about working with individuals who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from themselves, and those who are exploring questions of identity, purpose, and personal growth.
Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you are used to handling things on your own. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. Wherever you are in your journey, I would be honored to walk alongside you with warmth, curiosity, and respect.
