Our centre is committed to promoting the mental health of youth. We support parents in facilitating their children’s psychological development and to assist the school in maintaining student’s psychological fitness. Counseling is designed to facilitate student achievement, improve student behavior and attendance, and help students develop socially.

HOW LONG DOES STUDENT, PARENTS AND SCHOOL COUNSELING LAST?

Student, parents and school counseling sessions often last from 45 to 50 minutes. If you are a new client, you will be provide a free intake for 30 minutes before you meet your therapist, which helps us to know about you and helps you understand the terms of our service, as well as sign service contract and consent form.

WHO PROVIDES STUDENT, PARENTS AND SCHOOL COUNSELING?

Many kinds of mental health professionals provide counseling. The standards for becoming a therapist usually depend on a state’s licensing board. Therapists often have a master’s or doctoral degree. They may also have specific training in psychological counseling. Students working toward an advanced degree may provide therapy with direction from a licensed supervisor.

Therapists can have many titles. These are based on their level of education, training, and role. They can work as licensed professional counselors (LPC), psychologists, licensed marriage and family therapists (LMFT), licensed clinical social workers (LCSW), psychiatric nurses, or psychiatrists.
