Many employers offer an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) that supports employees and their families with counselling. LingYu bills EAPs directly and accepts referrals from them. To get started, ask your HR department how to use your EAP.

Helpful things to know about EAP at LingYu
How do I start counselling through my EAP?
Please ask your HR department or your EAP provider how to request counselling. We accept referrals directly from EAPs. Once we have your referral, our front desk will help you book. If you have questions, call us at (647) 728-2955.
Do I need a referral first?
Yes. We receive your referral directly from your EAP, so please ask your HR department or EAP provider to send it to LingYu.
Do I pay anything for sessions covered by my EAP?
No. We bill your EAP directly for the sessions it covers.
What happens when my EAP sessions run out?
Sessions beyond your EAP limit are paid by you. Sessions are 50 minutes and range from $90–$210. Some clients also have extended health care (EHC) coverage that can help. Please check your plan, or call us and we will help you understand your options.
Will my employer know I am seeing a therapist?
Your counselling is private, and we do not share your information with your employer without your consent. Your EAP provider may have its own reporting rules, so please ask them what is shared.
Can I choose my therapist?
Yes. You can look at our therapists on the Our Team page, including the languages they speak, and tell us who you would like to see.
Who will I see?
Our counselling team includes Registered Psychotherapists (RPs) and Registered Social Workers (RSWs). LingYu interviews every practitioner in person and runs background checks.
Are sessions online or in person?
Both. You can choose whichever suits you.
Do you offer workplace services for teams?
Yes. We offer Art of Change, Crisis Management, Leadership Development, Team Building and Workplace Stress Management. Please contact us to talk about what your organization needs.
