Helpful things to know about WSIB at LingYu

Who is WSIB therapy for?

WSIB provides support for workers who experience psychological injuries or mental health issues due to workplace stress. If you are not sure whether your situation qualifies, contact WSIB or call us and we will point you in the right direction.

Do I have to pay?

No. There is no cost to you as a WSIB client.

What do I need before I can start?

Please call us first and give us your WSIB case manager's information. We will ask your case manager to send us the documents we need. We can begin once we have those documents and WSIB's approval for the assessment.

What happens when I start?

Once WSIB has approved the assessment, you complete it with your therapist. It usually takes 2 to 3 hours. It helps your therapist get to know you, and helps you understand the terms of our service before you sign the service contract and consent form.

Can I attend in person or online?

Both are available. WSIB therapy can be held in person at our Markham office or online. Each therapist's profile shows the formats they offer.

How do I choose a therapist, and can I have sessions in Mandarin or Cantonese?

You can browse our team page and filter by language and areas of focus. Many of our therapists offer sessions in Mandarin or Cantonese as well as English. If you would rather not choose on your own, tell us what you are looking for and our front desk will help match you with a therapist.
